Intrinsic Value Intrinsic Value (आंतरिक मूल्य)

Intrinsic value is what a stock is actually worth, independent of its market price, typically estimated by discounting the company's expected future cash flows back to today. When a Nifty 500 stock trades at ₹800 but a discounted-cash-flow model suggests intrinsic value of ₹1,200, it may be undervalued — the gap is called the margin of safety. Intrinsic value is always an estimate and is sensitive to growth and discount-rate assumptions. Value investors buy when market price is well below intrinsic value and wait for the market to recognise it.

Intrinsic value वह है जो एक शेयर असल में worth है — market price से परे — और इसे आमतौर पर कंपनी के expected future cash flows को आज की value में discount करके निकाला जाता है। अगर Nifty 500 का कोई शेयर ₹800 पर trade हो रहा है लेकिन discounted-cash-flow model intrinsic value ₹1,200 बताए, तो वह undervalued हो सकता है — इस gap को margin of safety कहते हैं। Intrinsic value हमेशा एक estimate होती है और growth व discount-rate assumptions पर निर्भर करती है। Value investors तब ख़रीदते हैं जब market price intrinsic value से काफ़ी नीचे हो और बाज़ार के उसे पहचानने का इंतज़ार करते हैं।
