The exponential moving average (EMA) applies a multiplier that weights recent closes more heavily than older ones, making it react faster to new price action than the SMA. The multiplier is k = 2 ÷ (n + 1), where n is the period. A 20-day EMA on an NSE stock will turn down sooner after a peak than a 20-day SMA. Short-term traders favor the 9 and 20 EMA; swing traders commonly use the 50 EMA. Crossovers between two EMAs are popular entry/exit signals.
Exponential moving average (EMA) एक multiplier लगाता है जो हाल के closes को पुराने closes से ज़्यादा वज़न देता है, जिससे यह SMA के मुक़ाबले नई price action पर तेज़ प्रतिक्रिया करता है। Multiplier है k = 2 ÷ (n + 1), जहाँ n period है। NSE के किसी शेयर पर 20-day EMA, peak के बाद 20-day SMA से पहले मुड़ जाएगा। Short-term traders 9 और 20 EMA पसंद करते हैं; swing traders आमतौर पर 50 EMA इस्तेमाल करते हैं। दो EMAs के बीच crossovers लोकप्रिय entry/exit signals हैं।
