A unit of ownership in a company that entitles you to a share of its profits and assets. किसी कंपनी में आपकी मालिकाना हिस्सेदारी की एक इकाई, जो आपको मुनाफ़े और assets पर अधिकार देती है।
Equity — also called a share or stock — represents a fractional ownership stake in a company. Holding equity gives you voting rights and a claim on dividends and residual assets if the company is wound up. When you buy 100 shares of a Nifty 50 company through your demat account on NSE, you own a tiny slice of that business. Returns come from price appreciation and dividends; risk comes from the company performing poorly or markets falling.
Equity — जिसे share या stock भी कहते हैं — किसी कंपनी में आंशिक मालिकाना हक़ को दर्शाता है। Equity रखने पर आपको voting rights मिलते हैं और dividends तथा कंपनी बंद होने पर बचे हुए assets पर दावा करने का अधिकार होता है। जब आप NSE पर अपने demat account से किसी Nifty 50 कंपनी के 100 shares ख़रीदते हैं, तो आप उस कारोबार में एक छोटी-सी हिस्सेदारी के मालिक बन जाते हैं। कीमत बढ़ने और dividends से मुनाफ़ा होता है, जबकि कंपनी का खराब प्रदर्शन या बाज़ार में गिरावट नुक़सान का ख़तरा बनती है।
