Contract Note Contract Note

A legally binding document from your broker confirming all trades executed on a given day.

A contract note is a legally enforceable document issued by a SEBI-registered broker after every trading day in which at least one trade was executed. It details each transaction — exchange, scrip, quantity, price, trade time, brokerage, STT, exchange charges, GST, and net settlement amount. Traders must preserve contract notes as they are the official proof of trade for tax computation and dispute resolution. Brokers are required to deliver the contract note by the end of the trading day or before settlement.

इसमें हर transaction की detail होती है — एक्सचेंज, scrip, quantity, price, trade time, brokerage, STT, exchange charges, GST, और net settlement amount।
